Thomas College in Waterville, ME is seeking a Security Officer to safeguard students, staff and visitors on campus and protect property. The role requires strong customer service, calm problem-solving, and the ability to react decisively during incidents; a leadership presence is expected during event operations.

Responsibilities include interior and exterior patrols, incident investigations, parking enforcement, and coordination with campus departments.

Qualifications

Strong customer service and professional demeanor are required.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
Valid driver’s license and clean background check.
CPR/First Aid, AED certification (or within 30 days of hire).
OSHA BBP training and Hepatitis B vaccination offered.

Responsibilities

Conduct interior and exterior patrols of campus buildings and grounds.
Respond to safety and security incidents and investigate as needed.
Monitor parking compliance and issue citations when required.
Collaborate with campus staff and departments as needed.
Attend mandatory staff meetings and campus events requiring large security operations.
