Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years as a security/police officer, preferably healthcare.
• 3 years previous management/supervisory experience.
• Excellent written communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CCTV/access control systems.
• Lethal Weapons Certification - Pennsylvania State Police.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
• Supervises and evaluates Security Sergeant and Officer performance.
• Assures all employees are trained, equipped and fit for duty; coordinates reports, attendance, and in-service training.
• Initiates disciplinary procedures for violations of policy.
• Updates policy manuals and communicates operational information.
• Monitors CCTV and access control systems; oversees security details and VIP protection.
• Coordinates with police and authorities for investigations and incidents.
• Advises on reporting crimes and initiating warrants when necessary.
• Participates in Emergency Response Team activities (fires, threats, etc.).
