UNC Health Care is seeking a Hospital Police Lieutenant to oversee a campus operation within the Hospital Police Department. You will supervise patrol squads, the Criminal Investigations Unit, and training functions to ensure safety for staff, patients, and visitors.

You will coordinate with hospital leadership, enforce policies, and deploy incident command procedures during emergencies, acting as the initial Incident Commander until relieved.

Formación

• Requires 5 years of progressive sworn law enforcement officer experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Certification from NC CJETSC as commissioned officer or certification eligible for out-of-state lateral hires.
• Must have General North Carolina Criminal Justice Certification to apply to this role.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct management and supervision for patrol squads, supervisors, the Criminal Investigations Unit, the Training Unit or other units as assigned.
• Review officers' reports of activities and incidents to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate activities with outside law enforcement and forensic staff involved in security for prisoners and investigations.
• Assume initial UNC Hospitals Incident Commander duties during emergencies until relieved.
• Oversee training and development to enhance leadership skills and operational effectiveness.
