Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking a Security Officer to patrol campus facilities, ensuring safety for patients, staff and visitors. The role involves responding to disturbances, conducting security checks and coordinating with local law enforcement as needed.

You will operate access control systems, surveillance equipment and assist with crowd control during events and emergencies. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, with 2 years of related security experience preferred; Police Academy

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2 years of directly related security experience preferred.
• Police Academy graduate considered in lieu of education.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws related to security and public safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine security patrols of campus, internally and externally; maintain safety, crowd control and order.
• Respond to disturbances involving patients, staff, visitors and employees; de-escalate as needed.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement for incidents and investigations; detain when appropriate per policy.
• Operate security screening equipment, access control systems, video surveillance and intrusions detection.
• Support staff with safety during events, emergencies and rapid response situations.
