Job summary

Utah Tech University is seeking a full-time Retail Operations Coordinator to support day-to-day campus operations. Responsibilities include customer care, safety compliance, staff scheduling, product orders, and receiving.

This role collaborates with the Director to shape a vision for campus retail services. The candidate will hire and train part-time staff, manage schedules, ensure food safety and financial policy compliance, and coordinate vendor relationships and POS systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associates degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of retail management experience including supervision.
• Forklift certification and operation required; training provided.
• Must be able to work evenings and some weekends.
• Food Handlers permit required.
• Must lift more than 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain relationships with students, staff, and public.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and supervise part-time staff in assigned areas.
• Develop and maintain staff schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and financial policies.
• Manage vendor relations and product ordering.
• Assist with receiving, unloading, stocking, and inventory tracking.
• Support POS and other tech solutions used in operations.
• Help develop strategies to improve service, sales, and university initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
