Job summary

Utah Tech University is seeking a full-time Residence Life Coordinator to oversee day-to-day operations for Campus View Suites 1, University Inn, and Family Student Housing. You will help develop a positive student housing environment and coordinate conduct processes for about 1,600 residents.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and two years in Residence Life or related fields, with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Two years’ experience in Residence Life, Student Involvement, or related fields during graduate or undergraduate career.
• Knowledge of Student Development and Student Involvement theories; Living Learning Communities preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Outlook); Banner, StarRez, and Maxient knowledge preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills with diverse groups.
• Outgoing, dependable, reliable, and proactive personality.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day resident life operations for Campus View Suites 1, University Inn, and Family Student Housing apartments.
• Assist in managing and facilitating the student conduct process across all residence halls (approximately 1,600 residents).
• Plan and organize summer camps and conferences, including occupancy management and staff training.
• Oversee development of a community and educational environment that fosters engagement and student success.
• Respond to emergencies and address resident concerns and conflicts.
• Plan and implement programs for personal growth and development; oversee themed communities.
• Use StarRez for daily duties, updating records, forms, and reports.
• Participate in on-call duty coverage one week in six weeks.
• Monitor facilities concerns and supervise check-in/check-out periods.
