Job summary

The Halal Shack Boston is seeking an Assistant General Manager for campus restaurant operations. This role focuses on leading a high-performing front- and back-of-house team during the academic calendar, with a unique summer off-season break.

You’ll oversee daily operations, uphold food safety and quality standards, manage labor and costs, and drive guest satisfaction while aligning with brand standards across our campus locations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of restaurant management experience with increasing responsibility.
• At least 2 years leading supervisors or large hourly teams.
• Strong leadership, financial acumen, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• A genuine commitment to hospitality and delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead your team by recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, and retaining staff while building a culture of accountability, teamwork, and hospitality.
• Run the operation by directing daily activities, upholding food quality, cleanliness, safety, and managing inventory and vendor relationships.
• Support the business by assisting with labor management, food cost, expenses, and using data to drive results.
• Drive the guest experience by setting hospitality standards, resolving concerns, and ensuring consistent brand execution.
