Job summary

The Halal Shack in Williamsburg, VA, is seeking an experienced restaurant manager for a high‑volume campus operation. The role follows an academic calendar with an extended summer break and potential for advancement into General Manager roles as the business grows.

You will lead front‑ and back‑of‑house staff, oversee daily operations, manage labor and costs, and ensure an exceptional guest experience in a fast‑paced setting.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of restaurant management experience with increasing responsibility.
• At least 2 years leading supervisors or large hourly teams.
• Strong leadership, financial acumen, and decision‑making skills in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• A genuine commitment to hospitality and delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead your team by recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, and retaining staff while promoting accountability, teamwork and hospitality.
• Run the operation by directing daily activities, upholding food quality, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation, and managing inventory and vendors.
• Support the business by overseeing labor, food cost and expenses, using data to drive results.
• Drive the guest experience by upholding brand standards and resolving guest concerns professionally.
