Indiana University Bloomington is seeking an in-person Residence Life desk staff member in the Office of Student Life. The role supports front desk operations for residence centers, handling inquiries, mail, and basic maintenance coordination.

Position is part-time, with shifts Monday–Friday 8:00 am–10:00 pm and weekends 10:00 am–10:00 pm. Staff must be available for evenings and major IU events. This is a nonexempt, part-time position with a starting wage of $12.25 per hour.

Aufgaben

• Serve as the first point of contact for residents, parents, and others at the residence center.
• Greet residents, visitors, and staff; assist with inquiries on campus resources and policies.
• Communicate clearly with residents, staff, and guests.
• Answer desk phone, respond to inquiries, and direct calls as needed.
• Sort, distribute, and manage mail/packages for residents; lifting as required.
• Maintain accurate mail records and assist with maintenance requests and work orders.
• Assist with check-in/check-out processes and center desk operations.
• Use walkie-talkies for internal communication; maintain confidentiality and safety.
