Indiana University (IU) Dining and Hospitality is seeking a part-time hotel/housekeeping role at the IU Biddle Hotel in Bloomington, IN. The position includes weekend and some holiday shifts, with on-site responsibilities maintaining guest rooms to IU's standards.

• Performs tasks related to the cleanliness and upkeep of IU Hotel guest rooms and/or campus residential and guest spaces.

• Cleans and prepares hotel rooms for both arriving guests and for intermediate in-stay service for existing guests daily.
• Ensures all furnishings in each guest rooms are free of evidence of a previous guest and that all items are in working order and ready for new guests daily and meets the Biddle standard of guest room inspection.

EDUCATION

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)

This role regularly requires the ability to effectively communicate. This role frequently requires the ability to handle equipment. The role requires the ability to detect items in proximity as well as far away; discern between colors; detect objects in peripheral space of self; discern items in detail; and to have good depth perception. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
