Job summary

The University of Oregon's Department of Physical Education and Recreation seeks a Coordinator of Operations to lead and administer a dynamic, large department including the Student Recreation Center and multiple facilities. You will supervise staff, manage operations, and help shape the department’s policies and budget while delivering high-quality customer service.

Evening and weekend hours may be required; CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Administration/Management, Leisure Studies, Sports Management, Business or related field.
  • One year of experience leading and managing staff or a work team.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification, or the ability to obtain in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee equipment issue, weight room and cardio area open recreation and locker room operations.
  • Staff and supervise approximately 50 Operation Attendant student employees.
  • Assist with the program budget, policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
  • Promote and market programs and services.
