Job summary

Campus Recreation is seeking a Coordinator to lead student engagement, wellness, and community through innovative programs. You will oversee daily operations, staffing, and event planning within the Recreation Center, while supporting the Waterfront program and other initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree, lifeguard certifications, and experience in fitness or recreational programming, with strong leadership and collaboration skills to work with campus departments and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required within 6 months of hire.
• Active American Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguard certification.
• Florida DOH Public Swimming Pool Technician certification within 6 months.
• At least 1 year of current, nationally recognized group or individual fitness training certification.
• Lifeguard CPR/AED/FA Instructor certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate student-centered fitness, club sports, and outdoor recreation programs.
• Schedule and supervise student staff and facility operations; oversee safety and maintenance of aquatic, fitness, and sports facilities.
• Manage administrative operations and partnerships to support campus recreation services.
• Plan, facilitate, and supervise lifeguard and aquatic program activities, trainings, and events.
• Maintain records and data for programs and campus activities; support committees and campus life events.
