Job summary

Qualifications

• Be at least 16 years old (18 for maintenance department) as stated.
• Current enrollment at Kansas State University and no fewer than six credit hours.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist in repairing equipment and structural items in and around the Union building.
• Assist in troubleshooting leaks, stoppages, and inadequate supply or faulty operations of water, steam, gas, and airlines; perform repairs to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain a safe environment in the shop by cleaning and maintaining the area.
• Assist cleaning the plaza, painting, staining, varnishing, fixing light fixtures, and emergency lights testing.
