Job summary

University of Kansas is seeking a General Maintenance and Repair Technician at KU Edwards Campus. The role involves troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance across campus buildings, grounds, and infrastructure to keep facilities safe and welcoming.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalency required.
• Two years’ maintenance experience using basic power tools, hand tools, and cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the appearance of the building and grounds.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems.
• Install, operate, repair, and maintain mechanical systems as directed.
• Assist with snow removal and apply ice melt per supervisor guidance.
• Complete paperwork for projects and manage work orders.
• Support events and classroom setups as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
