Job summary

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a Supervisor of Postal Services to manage the campus Mail Center operations, ensuring reliable mail and shipping services for departments, students, and affiliates.

This hands-on leadership role requires supervising staff and student workers, coordinating carriers, monitoring postage funds, and maintaining compliance with USPS regulations and university policies.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related shipping/mail experience.
• Experience supervising personnel and managing departmental funds.
• Knowledge of USPS and shipping regulations and safety practices.
• Ability to train and oversee staff and student employees.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily mail, package, and shipping operations for the University.
• Supervise, train, schedule, coach, and support Mail Center staff and student assistants.
• Coordinate USPS, UPS, FedEx, and other shipping services, including pickups.
• Oversee USPS Contract Postal Unit (CPU) customer service, postage sales, and payments.
• Coordinate pickup, receiving, sorting, staging, delivery, forwarding, and return of mail and packages.
• Monitor postage funds, shipping invoices, cross-charges, and related records.
• Track mail and package volumes for reporting and compliance with USPS rules.
