Job summary

The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia is seeking a Manager of Mail and Package Services to provide vision and strategic oversight for campus mail operations across student housing, health systems, and academic buildings. You will lead daily operations, ensure compliance, and drive process improvements to deliver reliable service.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Facilities, Housing, and Print departments, implementing tracking technologies, and managing a team of staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience in mail services, logistics, or related field.
• 3+ years of mail services, shipping/receiving, or related operations experience.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and direction for all mail and package services.
• Oversee daily mail processing, delivery, and distribution across campus facilities.
• Ensure compliance with USPS/carrier regulations and university policies.
• Implement technologies to streamline tracking, notifications, and delivery accuracy.
• Collaborate with departments to resolve service challenges and drive improvements.
• Lead staff, manage scheduling, training, and development.
• Monitor budget and resources to ensure efficient service delivery.
