Job summary

The Tailwind Group, The Quarters Manhattan community is seeking a part-time Community Assistant in Manhattan, Kansas. You will generate new leases and renewals, greet prospects, conduct tours, and support day-to-day office operations.

This role is onsite, with a maximum of 29.5 hours per week and rotating nights/weekends. Compensation is $12.00 per hour plus commission potential, reflecting market data and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One or more years of experience in customer service, sales, or retail preferred.
• Current enrollment at local university and residency status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellent customer service to residents, prospects, vendors, and community members.
• Maintain curb appeal, supervise tour path, model unit, and amenity spaces.
• Serve as first point of contact for prospective residents and inquiries.
• Conduct property and unit tours; explain leasing options and community features.
• Follow up with prospects via phone, text, and email to maximize conversions.
• Drive leasing traffic through on-campus outreach and peer networking.
• Support resident events, move-ins, and community activities.
• Assist with lockouts after hours when assigned.
• Open/close office, clubhouse, and model unit; enforce standards.
• Maintain professional appearance and adherence to dress code.
