The University of Delaware invites undergraduate and graduate students to join IT Client Support as Troubleshooting Technician in Newark, DE. You will troubleshoot and repair personally owned student laptops, perform battery replacements, OS reinstalls, and basic hardware swaps within Smith Hall, 006.

You will triage issues, document steps, and communicate with clients, while supporting peers as an escalation point. This is a part-time student role with 10–15 hrs/week.

Qualificações

• Enrolled student at the University of Delaware.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues.
• Proficiency with common office software.
• Reliable and punctual with strong organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as an escalation point for peers when dealing with computer issues.
• Document troubleshooting steps in tickets and keep clients informed on the state of their repair.
• Prioritize work based on first in first out.
• Independently triage dropped off computers to determine the issue and next steps.
• Perform limited hardware repair, including hard drive replacement, RAM replacement, fan replacement, device cleaning and related tasks.
• Perform software troubleshooting, including OS reinstalls/repairs.
• Communicate directly and clearly to peers, clients, and staff during shifts and in teams.
• Lead your peers by example.
