Job summary

Galen College of Nursing in Charleston, SC, seeks an IIT Support Specialist to provide desktop and technical support to campus leadership, local faculty, staff and students with quality customer service, support, tools, and training needed to meet their educational goals.

This position will be the primary technology service provider for the campus (with escalation support from IT Services) via email, telephone, ticketing system, and remote desktop.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology or related field; applicable experience may substitute.
• Minimum two years’ experience in IT desktop support and customer service.
• Strong communication, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills; reliable and team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop support to campus leadership, faculty, staff and students via email, phone, ticketing system, and remote desktop.
• Support for computerized testing, instructional classroom tech, and web conferencing.
• Assist with user accounts, software installations, and provisioning of mobile devices.
• Maintain hardware, networks, AV tech in classrooms and offices; assist inventory and documentation.
• Escalate to IT Services as needed and participate in projects.
