Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking an Information Systems Technician for Fairmont State University. This student position will provide computer help desk support to students, faculty, and staff, assisting with hardware and software issues.

The role requires good customer service skills and a logical approach to problem-solving. Students will work approximately 15-20 hours per week, usually during the daytime with some evening and weekend hours. A base hourly rate of $11.00 to $14.00 is offered.

Responsibilities

• Provide computer help desk support to students, faculty, and staff.
• Assist with moving computing equipment on campus.
• Staff the Call Center.
• Assist in the use and deployment of A/V equipment.
• Ensure complex problems are referred to full-time staff.
