Job summary

University of Colorado Boulder is seeking an HVAC Technician to operate, maintain, and repair building-wide HVAC/R systems across residence halls and campus spaces. You will perform preventive and reactive maintenance on air handlers, chillers, boilers, energy recovery units, and related equipment within a busy housing environment.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, responding to service calls, and ensuring indoor air quality and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in an occupational field related to the work.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification is required.
• Formal apprenticeship/education may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment including chillers, boilers, and air distribution systems.
• Respond to service calls and diagnose issues to restore systems.
• Document work orders and equipment records; operate CMMS effectively.
• Attend training and participate in facilities audits.
