Job summary

The University of Colorado Boulder is seeking an HVAC Technician to install, repair, maintain and operate campus HVAC and building automation systems (BAS) in academic buildings. The role emphasizes hands-on work with a focus on reliability and energy efficiency.

You will analyze and repair HVAC systems, calibrate temperature controls, and manage BAS devices. This is an essential services position with full-time, in-person responsibilities and opportunities to support capital projects and safety

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in HVAC and mechanical trades work.
• EPA Refrigerant Certification required.
• Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) and direct digital controls.
• Experience with chiller systems and high-capacity HVAC equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis, repair, maintenance and operation of HVAC and BAS systems in academic buildings.
• Maintain ULTF inventory, monitor and troubleshoot equipment, and ensure system communications.
• Commission, calibrate and test temperature control components to optimize performance and energy savings.
• Support projects, complete safety trainings, and respond to essential service needs as required.
