Job summary

The University of Missouri is seeking a journey-level HVAC technician to install, repair, and maintain heating and cooling systems across campus. Read blueprints, balance air flow, and operate centrifugal and steam absorption chillers.

The role supports Campus Facilities Operations in delivering safe, efficient, and reliable building services. You will perform preventive maintenance on pneumatic, electrical, and electronic controls, and ensure adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and plans.
• Valid Missouri driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain HVAC systems including hot water, steam, and chilled water systems.
• Balance air flow and test controls using appropriate equipment.
• Perform sheet-metal work and install ducts and diffusers.
• Operate centrifugal and steam absorption chillers; maintain and repair controls.
• Complete preventive maintenance documentation and safety adherence.
