Job summary

The Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) Division of Facilities Management seeks an HVAC technician to maintain and repair HVAC/R equipment across multiple facilities in Colorado. This role requires adherence to safety standards and coordination with facility managers to ensure continuous operations.

Candidates must have three years of HVAC experience, a Universal CFC certificate, and meet residency requirements for Colorado.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems.
• A combination of related education, apprenticeship, and/or relevant experience equal to three years.
• Must possess a current and valid Universal CFC Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and install all HVAC equipment per manufacturers’ recommendations and codes.
• Perform preventative maintenance on large HVAC/R systems across hospital environments and residential applications.
• Monitor water treatment levels in cooling towers and coordinate with vendors to correct out-of-tolerance conditions.
• Repair large-scale refrigeration equipment and maintain building automation controls to ensure proper operation.
• Read wiring diagrams, troubleshoot electrical/low voltage circuits, and work with DDC/BA systems.
