Job summary

University of Colorado Denver Campus is seeking a PMT-II Facilities Maintenance HVAC Technician (Housing) to perform corrective and preventive maintenance on HVAC/R systems. The role involves on-call after hours, weekends, and holidays to support 24/7 operations across campus.

The position requires CFC Universal Certification and at least four years of HVAC/R experience with two years working on process chillers. Proficiency in CMMS and BAS is expected, with a strong focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current CFC Universal Certification to work with refrigerants.
• Four years of progressively responsible experience in HVAC/R with at least two years on process chillers.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance as assigned.
• Effectively communicate with vendors and contractors.
• Maintain reports and inventory via electronic records and database.
• Operate university vehicles to transport tools/equipment to sites.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies and set priorities by urgency.
• Adjust BAS to building systems operating parameters.
• Collaborate with team to improve performance.
• Participate in after-hours call-back rotation.
