Job summary

The College of Charleston seeks a skilled HVAC Technician to install, operate, maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across campus dormitories and academic buildings. You will handle chilled water, steam systems, piping and refrigerant equipment, performing preventive maintenance and rapid troubleshooting.

A high school diploma and HVAC trade experience are required, along with EPA certification and a valid South Carolina driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs, or recommends procedures for HVAC systems across campus.
• Responds to work orders with urgency; performs basic electrical maintenance.
• Installs and maintains chilled water and self-contained HVAC equipment.
• Uses computerized HVAC control programs to monitor campus temperatures.
