The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, is accepting applications for an HVAC Technician IV in the Facilities and Engineering Department in Charleston. This role maintains and repairs campus HVAC, refrigeration, and energy management systems, with preventive maintenance on a wide range of equipment.

Must have a high school diploma and 4 years in mechanical/electrical trades, plus Refrigerant Transition & Recovery certification. On-call work and high-elevation duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma and 4 years in mechanical/electrical trades.
• Certified in Refrigerant Transition & Recovery.
• Experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics; able to braze/solder piping.

Responsabilités

• Repair and maintain campus HVAC, refrigeration, and ventilation systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on commercial and residential equipment.
• Assist on air conditioning, chillers, pumps, boilers, and related machinery.
• Operate energy management systems and low/high voltage controls.
• Respond to 24/7 emergency callouts as required.
