Job summary

University of California, Irvine is seeking a Facilities Project Manager to coordinate renovation, maintenance, and minor capital projects from concept through construction, with emphasis on budgets, schedules, and stakeholder communication.

You will lead project teams, hire architectural/engineering firms, ensure code compliance, and manage contracts while partnering with Campus units to deliver projects on time and within scope. This is a one-year contract with renewal potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years' experience in architecture, engineering, or facilities management.
• Experience leading renovation projects valued from $50,000 and up.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all phases of renovation and minor capital projects.
• Define project scope, budgets, and schedules; communicate status.
• Hire architectural/engineering firms and manage consultants.
• Review cost estimates, bids, and construction documents.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and campus policies.
• Lead project teams and liaise with campus units.
• Close out projects and provide manuals/drawings.
