Job summary

UC Irvine is seeking a Facilities Projects Manager to coordinate all phases of building projects, from concept through design and implementation, under the direction of the Senior Director of Facilities Operations and Capital Projects.

The role requires strong problem-solving, budgeting, reporting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with codes and policies while supporting long-term strategic plans.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of building and construction, design construction contract administration and California Building Codes.
• Experience supervising facility maintenance and improvements across trades.
• Strong project management skills with ability to plan scope and budgets.
• Ability to develop reports and communicate with diverse audiences.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication with political acumen.
• Willingness to work overtime and on-call for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all phases of building projects from concept to design implementation.
