Job summary

University of California, Irvine seeks a Facilities Projects Manager to coordinate all phases of building projects from design concept to implementation. You will lead cross-functional teams, work with contractors, and ensure project success, budget alignment and policy compliance.

The role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic university environment. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience/ training.
• Strong knowledge of building construction, contracts and California Building Codes.
• Experience supervising facility maintenance across trades and disciplines.
• Ability to develop project scopes and manage complex projects with budgets.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all phases of building projects from concept through design implementation.
• Plan, develop and implement projects with collaboration across teams and contractors.
• Prepare and present project updates and reports to diverse audiences.
• Ensure adherence to budgets, schedules and quality standards.
• Maintain compliance with university policies and risk management practices.
