Colorado Mountain College is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee non-residential campus facilities, maintenance, custodial services, and grounds. You will supervise staff and contractors, manage budgets, and ensure safety policies are followed across buildings and systems on campus.
The position requires a combination of education and experience; certifications like CFM or CEFP are desirable but not required. A Colorado Driver License is needed, and on-call duties may apply.
Under the direction of the Campus Vice President and Director ofFacilities, this position oversees facilities management andmaintenance for a non-residential campus. Non-residential campusesmay have multiple buildings or service sites.
Areas of responsibilities include maintenance and repair, custodialservices, building safety and grounds. The Facilities Manageroversees and coordinates the work of employees and outsidecontractors, which may include plumbing, heating, electric,refrigeration, and air conditioning, preventive maintenance andrepair, water plant functions and construction projects. Inaddition, the Facilities Manager has budget responsibilities andmay supervise staff.
Education and experience sufficient for the rigors of the positionsuch as a Bachelor’s and one year, Associate’s Degree and threeyears related experience, or High School Degree/GED and five yearsrelated experience, or equivalent education and experience thatwill provide the necessary knowledge, skill and abilities toperform the functions of the position.
Examples of certifications and professional training desired butnot required include: Certified Facility Manager (CFM),Sustainability Facility Professional (SFP), Facility ManagementProfessional (FMP), Certified Educational Facilities Professional(CEFP).
Knowledge, special Skills or abilities applicable to this position:skilled trade principles, practices and procedures; facilities andpersonnel management; budgeting; standard office equipment andsoftware; knowledge of current technology used in facilitiesmanagement such as web based control systems.
Ability to communicate clearly verbally, interpersonally, and inwriting; perform, problem solve and manage a variety of facilitiesmaintenance activities; manage and control budgets; organize;prioritize; supervise and delegate work to others to meet campusneeds; work independently and as part of a team; obtain andmaintain a valid Colorado Driver License and other requiredcredentials/licenses. Able to serve on-call duty as required.

Hiring range = $ 88,663.76 - $98,515.29 annual salary dependingupon a combination of education and experience. Benefits includeMedical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Pet insurance, retirementcontribution, tuition reimbursement, annual & sick time, mentalhealth resources, healthy lifestyle benefits, affordabletransitional housing may be available to the successful candidatebased on eligibility and availability, relocation if applicable.CMC utilizes a wage progression compensation model that accountsfor a candidate’s skill and experience. Although a salary range islisted, salary will be set commensurate with the successfulcandidate’s qualifications and in compliance with the Equal Pay forEqual Work Act.

This position works under the direction of the Campus VicePresident and the Director of Facilities.
This position may supervise full time, part time, and/or studentemployees.
Successful completion of a background check including motorvehicles records check is required. Position will require traveland evening, weekend and holiday hours. Incumbents in this positionwill adhere to all safety and compliance policies of ColoradoMountain College while performing all duties assigned.
This position requires constant standing and/or walking; occasionalsitting and driving; frequent climbing and balancing; constantstooping, kneeling, bending; frequent squatting, crawling,pushing/pulling; constant handling objects, reaching withhands/arms, using finger movements; frequent lifting, carrying,pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs., and frequently to occasionally morethan 100 lbs.; ordinary talking, hearing and vision capabilities;frequent reading/comprehending, writing and performingcalculations; constant communicating orally, reasoning andanalyzing; frequent work near moving mechanical parts, in high,precarious places; frequent exposure to fumes or airborneparticles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions,work with machinery, and risk of electrical shock; and occasionalvibration; and loud noise; driving licensed and unlicensedvehicles.
May require varying work schedule, including evening, weekend andholiday hours and potentially on-call duty; exposure to inclementweather and other potentially hazardous working conditions inconstruction and maintenance environments. Incumbents in thisposition will adhere to all safety and compliance policies of Colorado Mountain College while performing all dutiesassigned.
Work is performed using a computer and a variety of skilled tradetools and motorized equipment daily; and cleaning and housekeepingtools and equipment frequently.
