San Joaquin Valley College Inc. seeks an Engagement Coordinator to be the first contact for students, employees, and guests. You will deliver exceptional customer service, greet visitors professionally, and support campus operations at the Bakersfield location.

The role includes managing the front desk, coordinating meetings and events, handling mail and supplies, and updating admissions systems. Strong organization and communication are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and two years related experience.
• Language Skills – ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; present information in one-on-one situations.
• Computer skills include Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Interact professionally with students, employees, guests, and all departments; answer phones, screen calls, direct inquiries, and manage messages.
• Provide engaging campus tours to admissions prospects and other guests as assigned.
• Set up remote meetings for the FS department and handle payments when necessary.
• Organize and maintain the appearance of internal meeting spaces, conference rooms, testing areas, entrances, and shared areas.
• Update forms, conference schedules, and telephone extension lists.
• Update admissions applications with prospect information.
• Assist prospects with EP portals and proctor admissions assessments.
• Maintain conference room calendars and coordinate appointments, events, and meetings, including catering.
• Receive mail and packages daily, sign for them, and distribute appropriately; monitor postage supplies.
• Maintain supply closet and kitchen area; place orders for office and kitchen supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
