Job summary

The University of Pikeville is seeking an EVENTS A/V and IT Support Tech Intern to assist with campus event setup, live production, and basic support under supervision. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in event operations, technology, customer service, and collaboration with experienced IT staff.

Responsibilities include assisting with equipment setup and teardown, monitoring live events, and coordinating with event staff.

Qualifications

• Entry level position
• Minimum of 80 hours in the semester required
• Student must enroll concurrently into CVL 401: Integrated Internship Experience

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup, operation, and teardown of A/V and IT equipment for campus events under IT staff guidance.
• Monitor A/V equipment during live events and report issues to IT staff.
• Provide on-site event support and assist participants with routine technology needs.
• Communicate with event staff and IT supervisors regarding needs, schedules, and equipment requests.
• Assist with inventory, equipment maintenance, and storage following procedures.
