Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with minimum three years clerical, event coordination or secretarial experience in an educational or business setting.
• Preferred: Associate degree or higher earned from an accredited institution and one year clerical or secretarial experience in an educational, accounting or business setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides general administrative support to the Dean of Student, club advisors/sponsors, student leadership and other campus constituents.
• Plan and coordinate a varied range of events and activities, such as cultural events, social gatherings, workshops, and recreational activities.
• Assist with purchasing for activities including processing pcard orders, supply orders, Sciquest orders, and disbursements; Assist with inventory and purchasing of event supplies.
• Manage club/event budgets to include allocations, travel, disbursements, purchasing, verification, for student activities, ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively and responsibly.
• Communicate event details, schedules, and other relevant information to students through newsletters, social media, and campus announcements.
• Collect feedback from students and stakeholders to evaluate the success of events and activities.
