Job summary

Washington State University Tri-Cities is seeking an Event & Program Coordinator to lead the design, planning, execution, and evaluation of campus events for leadership, alumni, donors, and guests at the Richland campus.

You will manage timelines, budgets, communications, vendors, volunteers, and post-event assessment; supervise student workers and the Mascot Program, recruiting, training, and scheduling staff. The role requires adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three years of related experience.
• Any combination of education and experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
• Ability to work a flexible, yet structured schedule with occasional night and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day design, planning, execution, and evaluation of campus events involving leadership, alumni, donors, and guests.
• Manage event timelines, budgets, communications, vendors, and volunteers; conduct post-event assessment.
• Oversee the Butch T. Cougar Mascot Program and Student Event Support workers; recruit, hire, train, and schedule staff.
• Build relationships with campus partners to support successful campus and community engagement.
