The Digital Content Assistant at Community College of Aurora supports the Strategic Communications Department by maintaining and improving the college’s digital presence. Working closely with the Digital Content Developer and Web Manager, this role updates website content, supports social media, and applies SEO and accessibility best practices.

• Current CCA student who meets Federal Work-Study eligibility requirements.
• Strong written communication and attention to detail.
• Basic computer and file-management skills.
• Familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and X.
• Ability to learn new digital tools and technologies.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Interest in digital communications, marketing, web content or related fields.

Responsabilidades

• Update and maintain content across CCA webpages using the college’s content management system.
• Add and maintain campus events on the CCA website calendar.
• Assist with publishing approved content across CCA social media platforms.
• Review webpages for accuracy, consistency, formatting and usability.
• Apply basic SEO best practices to improve the visibility and effectiveness of web content.
• Assist with improving webpage accessibility in accordance with WCAG guidelines.
• Assist with Spanish-language webpage content and translations, when applicable.
• Support basic website quality assurance, including checking links, images and page formatting.
• Collaborate with members of the Strategic Communications team on digital content projects.
• Perform other related digital communications duties as assigned.
