Brigham Young University (BYU) is seeking a Campus Conversations Project Coordinator to educate students about engaging in respectful, meaningful conversations that dignify individuals. This part-time role (17.5 hours/week) supports day-to-day operations of a campus-wide dialogue program that promotes empathy and constructive engagement across differences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, public administration, communication, education, social sciences, student affairs, or related field.
• Ability to facilitate and model respectful, balanced conversations on difficult topics.
• Experience coordinating projects, events, and student programming in higher education.

Responsabilités

• Recruit, train, supervise, mentor, and support 10–15 student facilitators/leaders.
• Teach reflective dialogue practices: active listening, curiosity, respectful questioning, perspective-taking.
• Organize and evaluate campus conversations events each semester (3 campus-wide, 15 classroom-based).
• Coordinate event logistics: topics, schedules, rooms, facilitators, participants, tech, registrations, accessibility.
