Job summary

Brigham Young University (BYU) seeks a Campus Conversations Project Coordinator to educate students about engaging in respectful, meaningful conversations that dignify individuals while discussing challenging topics. This is a part-time, 17.5-hour-per-week role.

You will recruit and mentor 10–15 student facilitators, plan events, build campus partnerships, develop conversation guides, and assist with program evaluation, budgets, and marketing.

Qualifications

• Experience in project coordination, event planning, or student programming.
• Ability to recruit, train, supervise, and mentor student employees.
• Ability to plan, organize, implement, and evaluate multiple events and projects.
• Commitment to respectful dialogue and constructive engagement across differences.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, supervise, mentor, and support 10–15 student facilitators.
• Plan and evaluate at least three campus-wide events and 15 classroom-based conversations each semester.
• Coordinate event logistics, topics, rooms, facilitators, attendees, and follow-up.
• Develop partnerships with faculty and campus programs to expand participation.
• Support development of a learning module and LMS content.
• Assist with program evaluation, surveys, and budgets.
• Attend and support campus events, including occasional evenings.
