Job summary

CampusWorks is seeking a motivated Desktop Technician to join our campus technology team. You will provide first and second-line support for desktop software, hardware, classroom tech, printing and network issues for faculty, staff and students on campus.

You will diagnose, repair, install, configure and document solutions, while collaborating with IT staff and vendors to keep systems running smoothly and securely.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing hardware, software, network, and system issues.
• Ability to set up and troubleshoot classroom technology and AV equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to train others.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair laptops/desktops and peripherals.
• Diagnose hardware, software, network, and system issues.
• Install and troubleshoot classroom IT equipment like media and phones.
• Configure domains, user accounts, software accounts, and wireless access.
• Resolve tech issues for faculty, staff and students.
• Develop desktop deployment systems for imaging endpoint devices.
• Log and manage service requests in the IT ticketing system; escalate when needed.
• Contribute to knowledge base articles and follow processes.
• Collaborate with IT staff to resolve tickets and coordinate with vendors.
• Generate and review activity reports; perform other duties as assigned.
