Job summary

MSSU is seeking a Custodial Supervisor to organize, train, and supervise custodial staff, ensuring efficient daily tasks and high levels of customer service on campus.

You will manage supplies, safety, scheduling, inspections, and coordination with the Facility Services leadership. This role requires institutional cleaning experience and a valid driver’s license; it is an on-site position at MSSU.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent certifications preferred.
• Three years’ experience in institutional cleaning, carpet and hard surface floor care; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to meet the University’s insurance requirements for driving University vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, trains, leads, schedules and supervises custodial staff to carry out the required daily tasks with a high level of efficiency and customer service.
• Evaluates available supplies and equipment to standardize and achieve quality results.
• Develop documents and assign routine procedures of building work processes for every custodial position.
• Provides in-depth hands, training of cleaning procedures for both routine work and specialized tasks of project hard clean and scheduled preventive routines for both hard and soft surfaces.
• Submits purchase requisitions and orders in accordance with standard procedures to ensure availability of sufficient supplies and materials as required.
