Job summary

Texas A&M University-Commerce is seeking a Student Worker in the Department of Counseling to provide timely responses by phone, email, or in person about enrollment steps. The role supports the Counseling Department’s operations while ensuring data integrity and FERPA compliance.

The position is part-time, up to 19 hours per week during classes, with potential full-time hours during breaks or summer. Pay is bi-weekly and starts at a minimum of $7.25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be an active student at Texas A&M University-Commerce.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills required.
• Strong computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Word/Excel; familiarity with OneDrive/Google Drive.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, fax, file, run campus errands, and copy documents.
• Greet office guests and direct them to appropriate staff.
• Greet students and guests, swipe them in before entry to residence halls as needed.
• Maintain documents and spreadsheets; provide quality customer service.
• Collaborate with supervisor and coordinate file/office supplies administration.
• Contribute to department operations and perform other duties as assigned.
