Sodexo at the University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking a Cook I to prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold items across meal periods and events. In a fast-paced kitchen, you will follow recipes, maintain food safety and sanitation standards, and work as part of a team to deliver high-quality dining experiences.

0–2 years of related experience and a High School diploma or GED are expected; pay is hourly with varied shifts, and benefits are offered under Sodexo policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsabilités

• Prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure high-quality food service is provided.
• Follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other foodstuffs.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and assist with production planning as needed.
