Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food following current standards to ensure high-quality service.
• Follow recipes and directions for soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other items.
• Estimate food requirements, check production, and requisition supplies.
• Significant walking or mobility during shift.
• Walk or stand for extended periods, possibly exceeding 8 hours.
• Lift up to 35 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds; frequent bending and reaching.
• Perform repetitive motions; maintain a clean workstation.
• Attend shifts on time and perform other duties as needed.
