Job summary

Cal Poly Maritime Academy, Solano Campus, is seeking a Clubs & Organizations Student Assistant to support over 500 recognized student organizations. This front-facing, service-oriented role requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and willingness to handle a wide range of administrative tasks.

The position is part-time, on-site at Vallejo, pays $17.00 per hour, and offers opportunities to work closely with student leaders and campus services.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Comfortable using digital platforms and learning new software (training provided).
• Previous customer service experience preferred, but not required.
• Must be a currently enrolled Cal Poly student in good academic standing.

Responsibilities

• Process club event scheduling requests using 25Live and Cal Poly Now.
• Provide general support and resources to student organization leaders and members.
• Deliver professional customer service via email, phone, and in-person interactions.
• Assist with office tasks and special projects as needed.
