Job summary

RTX is seeking a CAM Applications Engineer within Pratt & Whitney's CAM Deployment team to advance NC programming and tooling across complex aerospace components. You will implement computer aided manufacturing solutions, work with design and manufacturing to maximize Engineering Product Definition usage, and drive continuous improvement in CAM workflows.

You will apply NC programming expertise on multi-axis mills using Siemens NX, Vericut, and IS&V to optimize processes and support NX post

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or manufacturing engineering or equivalent experience.
10+ years of related experience; 5+ years programming lathes, mill-turns and multi-axis mills with Siemens NX.
Strong CNC controls knowledge (Siemens, Fanuc, Okuma), and macro programming.
Advanced high-speed machining skills and NX CAD experience for CAM workflows.
US Citizenship required due to government contracts.

Responsibilities

Provide CAM solutions for process development on new product introductions.
Help reduce costs of mature products via improved part processing time.
Integrate on-machine probing and data collection for process control.
Recommend optimizations using CAM tools and modeling software.
Lead NC verification with Vericut and NX ISV tools.
Support standardization and enterprise transitions in CAM workflows.
Assist with NX post configurator transitions and model-based definition adoption.
