Job summary

Marin Hilltop Hotel in California seeks an experienced HR professional to oversee day-to-day HR operations for our California workforce, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance.

You will partner with leadership to develop and implement HR practices that support business goals while complying with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 3–5+ years of progressive HR experience, including California experience.
• Supervisory or HR lead experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day HR operations for California workforce, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance.
• Partner with leadership to develop and implement HR practices that support business goals while complying with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Recruitment: manage full-cycle recruiting for California roles, including postings, screening, interviewing coordination, and offers.
• Onboarding: facilitate onboarding and new-hire paperwork, notices, and EDD reporting coordination.
• Compliance: maintain employee handbook, notices, postings, and ensure accuracy of HR records; monitor changes in employment laws.
