High Flying Foods is hiring a Line Cook for Calavera Restaurant at Oakland International Airport. The role requires 1+ year’s experience in a high-volume kitchen, flexible availability, and strong teamwork. You will prepare and plate items to recipe standards, manage a clean station, and uphold safety and FIFO practices.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a line cook in a high-volume kitchen.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication with teammates and managers.
• Ability to memorize and follow recipes and accurately measure ingredients.
• Knife handling proficiency and knowledge of proper sanitation practices.
• Food Handler’s Card or willingness to obtain during training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and plate food to order according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Set up and maintain an organized, clean kitchen station daily.
• Properly rotate ingredients using FIFO to maintain quality and freshness.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment and ensure cleanliness.
• Complete prep lists and kitchen checklists before service begins.
• Communicate with the manager at shift start and end for smooth operations.
