Job summary

Amity Foundation, a provider of teaching and therapeutic communities, seeks a Cal MHSA Certified Peer Navigator to support prison and re-entry programs. The role focuses on delivering life skills and family relations programming to participants, with emphasis on compassionate engagement and documentation.

The position involves collaborating with CDCR/CDCHCS staff, maintaining program records, and safely adapting curricula to participant needs.

Qualifications

• Requires Cal MHSA Certified Peer Navigator prior to hire.
• Candidates should include their Certification number on resume; if not certified, scheduling the Cal MHSA Test is advised.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate CBI Life Skills and/or Family Relations classes using evidence based curriculum.
• Conduct class and individual sessions to develop action plans and make-up work.
• Evaluate and document progress of participants.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms and expectations.
• Document delivery of CBI programming services in ARMS.
• Work with CDCR/CCHCS headquarters, local institutions, and CDCR staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
