Job summary

Amity Foundation is seeking a Cal MHSA Certified Peer Navigator to support Life Skills and Family Relations programming within prison and re-entry initiatives. The role emphasizes compassionate instruction, documentation, and collaboration with CDCR/CCHCS teams to foster participant progress.

The position requires certification, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while operating in a correctional environment.

Qualifications

• Must be Cal MHSA Certified Peer Navigator (or have scheduled Cal MHSA test date).
• Certification number on resume preferred; otherwise include scheduled date.
• Must be able to work in state prison settings and support CDCR/CCHCS partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate CBI Life Skills and Family Relations classes using evidence-based curriculum.
• Conduct classes and individual sessions to develop action plans and provide make-up work.
• Evaluate and document progress of participants assigned to classes.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms for participation and completion.
• Document delivery of CBI programming services in ARMS.
• Collaborate with CDCR/CCHCS headquarters, local institutions, and contracted staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
