Job summary

Qualifications

• Retail experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly service and answer questions about products in the department and store.
• Learn and share knowledge about bakery products; suggest items to customers.
• Offer samples and prepare bakery items, including wedding cakes, per customer requests.
• Decorate cakes, pastries, cupcakes, cookies and other bakery items.
• Check product quality and freshness; review dates and operate equipment per guidelines.
• Label, stock, sign, and inventory department merchandise.
• Maintain store safety, cleanliness and health standards.
